Pool Play Schedule and Results

Tuesday marked the start of the Team Event. Teams have been re-seeded based on the individual event results and placed in their respective Pools. All teams play one another in their pool to establish an order of merit. The final order is decided, taking account of all results in that pool, as follows:
- number of team matches won
- tie break is head to head result
- tie break after that is individual matches won

Once the Pool Play is finished the top 2 teams in each Pool go into a 8 team draw format. The 3rd place teams in each pool will compete for 9-12 place. The 4th and 5th place teams in each pool compete in a round robin to determine 13-17th place.

Team USA finds itself droping from the interim seed of 7 to the 8th spot. Germany, interim seeded 8th, put three of their players into the 3rd round of the individuals and in turn pushed ahead of the USA for the 7th seed in the team event. Team USA's seeding has them in Pool A with Egypt, Australia, South Korea, and Singapore. The US is poised and ready to get the 3 wins necessary wins in the Pool Play to get into the knockout rounds.
